I’ve Discovered That I Am an Autodidact Polymath


It’s not every day you stumble upon a term that perfectly captures who you are. Recently, I realized that I am an autodidact polymath—and it’s been a fascinating discovery that feels like the missing piece of my identity puzzle.


So, what does this mean? Let me explain in a way that feels true to my journey.


What Is an Autodidact Polymath?


First, an autodidact is someone who is self-taught. That’s me in a nutshell. I didn’t follow a traditional path of study to become an artist or to explore concepts like fractals, chaos theory, or augmented reality. I taught myself, driven by curiosity, determination, and the joy of diving headfirst into new ideas.


Then there’s the polymath part. A polymath isn’t just a “jack of all trades”—it’s someone who excels across multiple disciplines and, more importantly, finds ways to connect them in meaningful ways. For me, this means weaving together the worlds of art, science, mathematics, and technology.


How I Realized This About Myself


Looking back, it all makes sense. Since beginning my artistic journey in 2017, I’ve created over 2,000 digital art pieces inspired by fractal geometry, quantum physics, and chaos theory. My work reflects not just creativity but also a deep love for exploring patterns, structures, and connections in the universe.


What truly cemented this realization for me was how naturally I navigate between disciplines. Whether I’m experimenting with augmented reality, creating motion art, or diving into the mathematical foundations of fractals, I’m constantly synthesizing ideas from different areas. It’s a process that feels intuitive, yet it also demands the kind of self-driven learning that defines an autodidact.


Why It Matters


Understanding this about myself has helped me embrace the uniqueness of my perspective. My experience with acquired savant syndrome and synesthesia plays a big role, giving me the ability to process and interpret the world in ways that are deeply visual and often intuitive.


But being an autodidact polymath is about more than what I’ve accomplished—it’s about how I approach the world. I thrive on curiosity, I love exploring connections others might overlook, and I’m always seeking to push boundaries, whether in art, technology, or even how we think about creativity itself.


What’s Next?


Discovering this about myself doesn’t change who I am—it clarifies it. It gives me a language to describe the way I see and create, and it motivates me to keep exploring. Whether it’s designing impactful art for corporate spaces, experimenting with new technologies, or finding new ways to connect disciplines, I know this path is just beginning.


Being an autodidact polymath isn’t about knowing everything—it’s about never stopping the pursuit of knowledge, creativity, and innovation. And for me, that pursuit is what life is all about.
